Scott Dagostino is a Toronto-based journalist who likes to joke that, as a boy, he was told it’s impolite to ever discuss sex, religion, money or politics so he decided to write about them.
A longtime observer of Toronto’s gay scene, Scott is a regular contributor to Xtra, IN Toronto, Pink Play Mags and is a former managing editor at fab. He has written on topics as serious as human rights abuses in Iran and as silly as margarita blenders but always with a keen eye and a bit of wit.
As an interviewer, Scott is delighted that B-52s guitarist Keith Strickland extended an interview because the conversation was so good but dismayed that Magnetic Fields songwriter Stephen Merrit hated every second of it. Meanwhile, comedian Margaret Cho liked his joke about Jerry Falwell so much, she stole it for her True Colors concert.
When not in the pages of the gay press, Scott can be found on Twitter, spending time with his long-suffering Mr. Darcy or out walking Tegan the Jack Russell Terrorist.
